Michael Wannop is a life-long resident of Cambridge who graduated with an Honours degree in Chemical Physics from the University of Guelph. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1982 after graduating from the University of Windsor. He practices exclusively in the areas of civil litigation and family law. He has more than 25 years experience before all levels of courts in the province, including landmark cases argued before the Ontario Court of Appeal.

In the area of civil litigation, he has dealt with many cases involving all aspects of personal injuries and insurance issues. In the past, Michael has been retained to act for several insurance companies. Now he focuses on personal injury matters for individuals.

In the area of family law, virtually all of his cases involve legal issues relating to child custody, access and support, divorce, property equalization on separation, preparation of separation agreements, marriage contracts and cohabitation agreements.

As a volunteer in the community, Michael has served on the Board of Directors of the South Waterloo Housing Authority, the Galt Country Club, the Cambridge Minor Baseball Association, the Cambridge YMCA, the Cambridge Association for the Mentally Handicapped and he coached children's baseball and basketball for many years. His recreational activities include golf, running, cooking, gardening and trying to learn more about wine.


Asad Saji was born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario. After attending Galt Collegiate Institute, Asad graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University’s Honours Business Administration Program, achieving the Dean’s Honour List in his final two years. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the bar in 2008 after articling at a highly respected full-service law firm in Kitchener, Ontario. Asad’s practice focuses on Estates and Civil Litigation. He has experience before the Court in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice as well as a wide spectrum of tribunal experience.

In the area of Estates, Asad deals with matters involving Will and Estate challenges, Will interpretation, mental incapacity, powers of attorney, dependant’s support relief claims, passing of accounts, and estate mediation in addition to a plethora of matters that arise within the area of Will and Estate challenges. Other major issues that often arise in this area include suspicious circumstances, undue influence and/or the wrongful depletion of assets. Asad will also help Executors, Estate Trustees, Beneficiaries, Power of Attorneys and/or Guardians understand their legal and fiduciary duties and will provide advice on avoiding and resolving Estate related disputes.

In the area of Civil Litigation, Asad deals with matters in the areas of corporate/commercial, business, contractual, commercial and residential real estate, and employment and human rights litigation. He has acted for both corporate and individual clients and provides practical, timely and cost effective legal services.

Asad is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations as well as the Waterloo and Shades Mill Law Associations.

As a volunteer in the community, Asad has served as:

In his spare time, Asad enjoys golf, baseball, volleyball, traveling and reading.
